Eartubes are the modern innovation of a simple technique used by many cultures as an effective relaxation ritual.

Magic Middle Earth Eartubes give your ears the experience of natural warmth and meditative sound sensations created by the pure element of fire. Eartubes assist the mind, body, and spirit in returning to it's natural state of wellbeing where your own innate ability to heal is activated.

Eartubes, Hopi or Cones?

Eartubes are hand made from 100% cotton strips ( Butter Muslin ) which are wrapped in a spiral fashion. The cotton is of a porous nature, allowing good air flow and a consistent burn process which can create a more intense sensation to that of say Hopi style candles. Users will experience a more intense 'hissing' sound while the candles burn.
Indian Hopi style candles are hand made using 'sheet' style calico cotton with little porous ability for air to flow through the candle. This results in a quieter burn. The burn intensity is much less than that of Eartubes, but all candles in our range will burn for approx 8 mins.
EarCones again use sheet style calico cotton, non porous, but wrapped in a spiral fashion similar to Eartubes.

Key Ingredients

Beeswax

Beeswax is a product of the bee hive which is secreted by worker bees 12 to 18 days old, from wax glands beneath segments six to nine of the abdomen. Bees use it for building new comb and capping off ripened honey. Humans use it in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, candles, polish, waterproofing and to make foundation comb for beehives. As a general guide, for each 60 kg of honey extracted from the hive about 1 kg of beeswax is produced. The composition of beeswax is complex, but contains hydrocarbons, straight chain monohydric alcohols, acids, hydroxy acids, oils and other substances. Its specific gravity is less than one, so it floats on water. It melts at 63° C to 65° C and solidifies at 60° C to 63°C, depending on purity.

100% Cotton

Eartubes are hand made using 100% cotton. The cotton plays an important part in how your candle will burn and this adds to the overall experience.

As you can imagine we have spent many many wee hours testing out different types of cotton to ensure that the burn process is at an optimum, to enhance the experience, and your wellbeing. The particular way that we hand wrap the cotton, and the weave itself, is also important to regulate the airflow consistently as the candle burns. High regard is made to quality in this overall process.

The hand made process involved in making ear candles is unique, but at the same time we use advanced techniques, new to the industry and exclusive to Magic Middle Earth.

Magic Middle Earth ear candles are made to 92/93 EEC standard.

Safety

When using Magic Middle Earth ear candles we advise caution at ALL times.
It is important that you read the safety instructions prior to use.

Magic Middle Earth is conscious of the hazards of fire and wish to ensure that this experience is as safe as possible. For this reason, our ear candles are fitted with an ear protection filter and flame stop ring.

The user should ensure that Ear Candles are used in a safe environment and that an assistant always holds the lit candle at all times in the correct upright position observing the burn process. Be aware and remove any inflammable materials that may be close by, or that you are wearing.

Please ensure that the head is covered with a non-flammable material. A warm wet flannel, placed around the head should also be used as further protection.

Always store ear candles in a safe and secure place away from children at all times.

Tip

Save all of your extinguished Eartubes , they make great firelighters for your pot belly or campfire !
